The Story of Medjugorje

Medjugorje

In 1981, in a small village named Medjugorje in the country now known as Bosnia-Hercegovina but at the time, it was communist, former Yugoslavia, the Blessed Virgin Mary, human mother of Jesus Christ, began appeared to six young teenagers giving them messages to share with the world. She introduced herself as the Queen of Peace and, in Her own words said, "I have come to tell the world that God exists. He is the fullness of life, and to enjoy this fullness and peace, you must return to God".

Today, April 26, 2026, as of this writing, Our Lady has continued to appear daily to three of the original six visionaries sharing messages of peace, love and reconciliation. She has come to earth to help us convert and center our lives back to God. She teaches us the way to peace and conversion is through five stones: prayer (most especially the holy rosary), fasting, eucharist, confession and daily reading of the bible.

Since the apparitions began in 1981, approximately 50 million people of all faiths, from all over the world, have visited Medjugorje and have left spiritually strengthened and renewed. Many bring back stories of miracles in the form of healings (of mind, body and spirit), supernatural visual signs, and deep conversions back to God.
